On average, our critical care teams are dispatched six times per day, bringing the hospital to the critically ill and injured patients of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

It costs £9 million every year to cover all operational and charitable costs. Without access to National Lottery funding and with limited government support, we rely upon the generosity and goodwill of local people and businesses to continue to be there for people when they need us most.

Making a regular or one-off donation can help us raise the vital funds we need to deliver a free life-saving Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the critically ill and injured of Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. Donating takes just a few clicks, and adding Gift Aid can help make your donation go even further.

Whether you have a particular fundraising idea, need a little inspiration or wish to explore our packed events calendar to show your support, we have everything you need to get started. You can request your free fundraising pack quickly and easily on our website, and we have plenty of ideas, challenges and events you can get involved in.

Christmas Pub Quiz fundraiser

The Big Pub Quiz is all about bringing people together to host quizzes in pubs, workplaces, clubs, village halls, WI clubs, restaurants and homes to raise vital funds to keep Essex & Herts Air Ambulance operational, saving lives across both counties.

Hosting your very own Big Pub Quiz is a great way to get together with friends and family while opening doors to meeting new people. Upon requesting your fundraising quiz pack, you’ll receive eight fun-filled quiz rounds, answer and score sheets, beer mats and an EHAAT banner. You can also host your big pub quiz online using video conferencing platforms and social media sites, such as Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Facetime, WhatsApp or Messenger.

Collection Tins—

Over 12 months just one of our community tins can fund an hour’s worth of fuel. Not only do our collection tins collect vital funds, they also raise awareness in the local community, reminding everyone that we are a charity which relies heavily on the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex & Hertfordshire.

We build close relationships with schools across Essex & Hertfordshire, connecting with the doctors, paramedics, pilots and fundraisers of the future. If you’d like us to host engaging and educational assemblies, you can book your school visit by clicking the link below.
