Assemblies
Our school talks are designed to be engaging, educational and inspiring for pupils of all ages. Using an interactive slideshow presentation, we begin by explaining who Essex & Herts Air Ambulance is, what we do as a charity, how much it costs to keep our service operational, and why our work is so vital to the communities we serve.
We explore our fleet and introduce the people behind our life-saving missions, including our pilots, critical care paramedics and pre-hospital care doctors, explaining the important role each team member plays. Pupils will also learn about the specialist equipment carried on board our aircraft and rapid response vehicles and discover how we decide which hospital is best suited to a patient’s condition.
Each presentation can be tailored to suit different ages, abilities and year groups, ensuring an engaging and memorable experience for every audience.
Visitor Centre Experience
Students can immerse themselves in our exciting 999 Experience, where they can get up close to our life-saving service and discover what it’s like to be part of an air ambulance crew.
Throughout the visit, pupils will hear fascinating facts and gain a unique insight into the work of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance from our knowledgeable volunteer Visitor Centre Experience hosts. They’ll learn about our history, operations, and life-saving missions, before putting their knowledge to the test with interactive games and a fun quiz.
