Whether you're looking to raise money from a hobby, a community-led initiative or an exhilarating bucket list challenge, you can raise vital funds, inspire others and make a meaningful difference to your local life-saving charity.
Give someone a future, and it will never be forgotten.
Peace of mind for your loved ones
Your gift can ensure the highest care can be given when it is needed most and give future generations the best chance of survival. One in 10 of our missions are funded by Gifts in Wills.
Having an up-to-date Will can provide peace of mind for you and your loved ones, and ensure that your last wishes are carried out. Anyone over the age of 18 can have their Will written for free with one of our Will writing partners. This can be done online, with a local participating solicitor or via a Will writing specialist in the comfort of your own home.
There is no obligation to leave a gift in your Will to Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT), although any gift would be greatly appreciated.
Write your Will for free using one of our Will writing partners – they will make this process as simple as possible for you.
Once you have provided for your loved ones, thinking about EHAAT today can make a real difference to those who may need us in the future. Gifts of any size are vital…
With a contribution of £500, you can supply fuel for our helicopter, ensuring over 3 hours of operational flight time.
By donating £1,000, you can provide a flight suit along with a unit of lyophilised plasma (blood on board), supporting our life-saving missions.
Your generous gift of £5,000 equips us with a ventilator and a flight helmet, enhancing our ability to provide critical care during air missions.
Gifting EHAAT £10,000 empowers us with a chest compression system and a handheld airwave radio, advancing our pre-hospital care capabilities.
A gift in your Will won’t cost you anything now but will enable care for future generations.
We know a gift in your Will is very personal and that not everybody wishes to tell us about their gift. However, if you do choose to tell us, we would like to thank you during your lifetime.

Bridget’s Uncle “Chips” leaves EHAAT a gift in his will
George Allen, affectionately known as “Chips,” left Essex & Herts Air Ambulance a £20,000 gift in his Will – a portion of the proceeds from his classic car collection sold at auction following his death at the age of 93.
“Anyone who knows Uncle Chips will remember him as a collector of absolutely everything. He started with the cars many years ago and grew the collection, keeping them in pristine condition.”
The money raised from selling his collection of classic and personal vehicles saw £58,000 shared between various charities he held close to his heart, including EHAAT. Bridget said: “He was a great supporter of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance and played the Flight For Life lottery. He always spoke highly of the charity’s amazing work, especially when he saw the helicopter taking to the skies above Halstead.”
For 25 years, EHAAT has been providing advanced pre-hospital care to those in need. In 2022, we attended 2,582 missions, including 519 road traffic collisions, 984 medical emergencies and 433 accidental injuries. Your support ensures we can continue to be there, bringing the hospital to the patient.
“If it wasn’t for the air ambulance air crew I would not be here today; a thought that does not bear thinking about. I’ll never be able to repay the team that saved my life but I hope that by sharing my story I will encourage you to support this incredibly worthy charity.”
