At Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, we recognise the importance of reaching out to the doctors, paramedics, pilots and fundraisers of the future – that’s why we want your school to get involved. We are always happy to host engaging and educational assembles. School children are our future paramedics, pilots, fundraisers and supporters, so in each assembly, pupils learn about our free life-saving air ambulance Emergency Medical Service for the critically ill and injured of Essex, Herts and surrounding areas. You can book your school visit today or find plenty of ideas for school fundraising here.
Challenge Badge encourages Guides, Brownies, Scouts, Beavers and Rainbows to participate in activities across four key categories: Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, Helicopters, Air and Fundraising. From learning CPR to making an emergency call, researching helicopters, visiting an Essex & Herts Air Ambulance base and being a fundraiser for the charity, there are plenty of activities to get stuck into. It costs in excess of £750,000 every month to remain operational and to cover all charitable costs – that’s around £9 million a year!
