Our celebrity ambassadors, Ray Winstone and Lisa Snowdon, make huge contributions to our work. By giving us their time and expertise for free, supporting fundraising initiatives and raising awareness, they help us continue providing advanced pre-hospital care directly to the side of patients.
Meet Our Ambassadors
We appreciate Ray and Lisa’s time is incredibly valuable, and we’re deeply grateful for their continued support. From helping with key events and campaigns to raising awareness of our work and helping us attract new volunteers and supporters, we are honoured to have them as part of the EHAAT family.
Film and TV star Ray Winstone has been a celebrity ambassador for EHAAT since 2014. As a volunteer, he gives his time for free, allowing us to record video, radio commercials and take photos to support future campaigns, such as Air Ambulance Week, National Restart A Heart Day and Regular Giving. Ray continues to make an invaluable contribution to our work, helping EHAAT raise vital funds towards keeping the charity operational. Ray had a huge impact on our ‘Buy-a-Brick’ initiative, which raised nearly £40,000 – double our original target. He has been a highly enthusiastic supporter of the charity for many years, and we appreciate everything he does for us.
TV and radio presenter Lisa Snowdon saw a rare glimpse of our work during an episode of Celebrity MasterChef 2022, which was filmed at our North Weald airbase. After being crowned winner of the show, Lisa was thrilled to become an ambassador for EHAAT and increase awareness of our life-saving work. We receive limited direct funding from the Government and none from the National Lottery. With each mission costing, on average, around £2,200, we rely heavily on the generosity and goodwill of the local communities of Essex and Hertfordshire. We appreciate Lisa’s time is incredibly valuable, so we are so thrilled to have her as part of the EHAAT family.
