In 1998 I started my career in the ambulance service and in 2002 I was seconded to Essex Air Ambulance as a HEMS Paramedic for 5 days a month. In 2014, after completing over 1500 flying missions and a Masters in Critical Care, I applied and succeeded as Essex Clinical Manager.

I started my career in the public services with the Police Force as a Special Constable. Before joining EHAAT I worked at London Air Ambulance as an Emeritus Paramedic; I am now the Clinical Operations Manager and work to ensure smooth running of operations.

As an Emergency Medicine Doctor I have experience in resuscitation and trauma which lends itself to treating the very sickest patients. I trained in Cambridge and have worked in a number of London hospitals before joining the Charity in February 2017.

I have spent 5 years with EHAAT as a Pre-hospital Consultant and a Consultant in emergency medicine at RLH. I trained as an emergency physician in Australia, worked as a trauma physician with Queensland Ambulance Service and also in aeromedical retrieval.

I started with EHAAT in February 2012. Previously, I worked for the HEMS services in London and New South Wales, Australia. Since May 2016 I have been a Consultant for EHAAT, seconded for 1 day per week from my NHS job as a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Major Trauma at King's College Hospital.

I started in the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer and Diver & left to pursue a career as an Airport Fire-fighter. This took me to the USA and Trinidad & Tobago where I gained the necessary experience to work in a HEMS Operation such as the EHAAT.

It has always been my ambition to be a member of an Air Ambulance crew. I am now employed by Specialist Aviation Services with EHAAT. My flying career began at London Southend Airport instructing on Robinson and Bell Helicopters. I then moved on to fly Twin Squirrel helicopters commercially.

After leaving the Royal Marines, I worked as a private security contractor in the Middle East and Africa and then embarked on an aviation career. I spent 14 months carrying out flight training, then after 18 months working, I secured my job with Specialist Aviation Services and EHAAT in 2016.

I joined EHAAT in 2016. My previous flying experience involved flight instruction on R22 and R44 helicopters. It is a great privilege to be part of EHAAT working alongside such a professional team. As co-pilot I help navigate and assist the captain during the flight phase of an emergency call.

When I was 18 joined the Royal Navy as an aircraft engineer. I completed 10 years of service. After 4 years of working for a defence company I went to Florida to learn to fly. I am very proud to now be part of the professional and dedicated EHAAT team.

I joined the Charity in 2006 and as Fundraising and Marketing Director it’s my responsibility to develop and oversee new initiatives that generate vital funds and raise awareness of the Charity’s work. I manage an enthusiastic team dedicated to providing the best Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for Essex and Hertfordshire.
