Former airlifted patient Kate Oliver is a great supporter of the Charity following her accident in 2010. Kate’s car accident resulted in severe head and chest injuries, and flat-lined twice before the Air Crew arrived on the Air Ambulance. Since the accident, Kate has become a great Volunteer and Fundraiser for the Charity and loves taking part in ‘A Very British Afternoon Tea’.
Kate’s top tip: Mix it up – don’t be afraid to add different ingredients to recipes to make them more to your taste!

After a hard day, our Crew love nothing more than a cup of tea and a cake and, just like in every workplace, we have a few star bakers with reputations to uphold. Dr Naomi Pritchard is one of our Pre-hospital Care Doctors and in-between flights with us she makes time to create the perfect Strawberry and Cream Sponge. We are sure your guests will love this traditional favourite.
For those of you who fancy a choc-tastic treat, we’ve drafted in Critical Care Paramedic Laurie Phillipson. Without further ado, we introduce to you: Laurie’s Vegan Brownie Traybake.

Create your Crew
Can you create your very own Crew? Buy or bake your very own gingerbread men and women, and decorate them to look like our team! Our Pre-hospital Care Doctors wear a red flight suit, our Critical Care Paramedics wear a black top with red sleeves and red trousers, and our Pilots and co-Pilots wear blue. Why not take a picture to show off your decorating skills and send it to us using #CreateyourCrew?
