This year we are introducing a brand new 80 mile route for those of you looking for a challenge! As well as this we have our usual 50 mile and 20 mile routes and 3 mile family ride.
The 20 mile, 50 mile and 80 mile routes are on the roads surrounding Earls Colne. The 80 mile route includes part of the ‘Tour de France’ route with the group splitting off from the 50 mile course at Great Yeldham and heading towards Finchingfield. The route will continue towards Braintree and back up through to Halstead to rejoin the route back to Earls Colne. Our 3 mile family friendly route is based around the Earls Colne Business Park.
Each participant will receive a a medal after completing the ride.
Parking will be at the Cricket Pavilion with marshals to guide you on the day.
In 2017 we were called out to an average of 2 cyclist incidents a month. As a Charity, we rely in the generosity of the public to keep operational. You can help fund life-saving missions by getting sponsored for your Charity Cycle Ride.
How can you raise life-saving funds?
We understand that it can be hard to find the time to raise that all important sponsorship, so this year, we have given our supporters the option to donate £50 at the time of their ticket purchase instead. Just select this option when placing your ticket into the basket, and it could make all the difference.
For those of you that would like to take on the challenge and raise money for your local Air Ambulance purchase your standard ticket today at £17 and raise sponsorship by setting up your JustGiving page or downloading a sponsorship form.

We are pleased to join forces with Re-cycle, a local charity in Colchester. Bring your old bikes down on the day and donate them to Re-cycle! Many people in Africa spend hours each day walking to collect water, firewood or to access health care, school and employment. A bicycle lightens this burden and dramatically improves their well-being as well as work and education opportunities helping to bring social change.
Braintree council will be promoting the livewell campaign at this event! To promote healthy living there will be a cycle smoothie machine to encourage the importance of eating healthy. The livewell campaign looks to provide information about all that is on offer in Essex to improve health and wellbeing. To find out more information, visit their website.
