ARE YOU ELIGIBLE FOR AN OBSERVER SHIFT?
Please read the following must have criteria to see if you are eligible:
- Qualified front line ambulance service clinician.
- Clinical Staff.
- Qualified Doctor.
- Qualified Nurse.
- UK based student paramedic or medical student.
- Current DBS within 3 years of DBS date and/or part of Auto Update Service.
- Medically fit to fly.
- Confirmed attendance (certificate of attendance required) of two EHAAT Clinical Governance Days.
- Commitment to attend an additional induction session prior to shift allocation.
DURING THE OBSERVER SHIFT, YOU CAN EXPECT TO:
- Observe daily routine.
- Shadow clinical crew attending incidents.
- Participate in training moulages.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
- The use of a car is a necessity as both air bases are remote with limited public transport links.
- At the completion of your observer shift we require you to complete a feedback form.
- Due to the rapidly evolving environment that we work in, we may occasionally need to adjust your observer shift at very short notice.
- A shift date will be allocated once all checks have been completed.
- Successful candidates will be put on a waiting list. However, if a shift has not been allocated within 12 months your name will automatically be removed. (our ability to take observers is multi-factorial, for example: clinician training, maintenance requirements and capacity).
