It was a case of third time lucky for the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance’s Helihounds walk at The Discovery Centre, Great Notley, on Sunday June 17th.

The fundraising event had been postponed twice in March this year because of severe winter weather, including the infamous `Beast from the East’ which brought snow and sub-zero temperatures to the area.

Dogs and their owners tackled a one mile route around Great Notley Country Park, walking as many loops as they wished.

Events Manager Fay Boissieux said: “We would like to thank everyone who signed up to take part today and walk man’s best friend in support of their local life-saving charity. So far well over £4,000 has been raised, so well done everyone!

“Dog owners who would like to support us are welcome to sign up for our Autumn Heli Hounds event on October 14th where we will be welcoming TV dog whisperer Dima Yeremenko, who has worked with the likes of Paul O’Grady and Noel Fitzpatrick.”

Details of the Autumn Helihounds walk will be available soon on www.ehaat.com
