Debden Dynamos

The Debden Dynamos successfully cycled 550km in 72 hours (at home), while managing to raise an astonishing £6,795.02 for EHAAT! The Dynamos are a group made up of teachers and cycling enthusiasts from Debden Park High School, who had set an initial goal of raising £5,000. Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, the group’s original plan to cycle from Debden to Dublin in under 72 hours had to be adapted, which was then successfully completed virtually using the platform ‘Zwift’.

Emma Bord Workout

On Sunday 31st May, Emma Bord from Bushey in Hertfordshire, held a fun-filled, energising and feel-good workout class via Instagram & Facebook Live in order to raise funds in aid of EHAAT. Emma went on to raise a fantastic £4,243 with 132 people donating and many joining in on the day.

The occasion was even more memorable for EHAAT and Emma as it marks one year past since our crew was able to provide life-saving treatment to Emma’s husband Andy, after a serious injury at their home.

NFU Mutual Chelmsford

NFU Mutual Chelmsford made the kind gesture of donating £3,164 to Essex & Herts Air Ambulance!

During this current Covid-19 pandemic NFU Mutual has allocated over £1m to be made in charitable donations, with 310 local agencies nominating charities of their choice.

Harlow College PPE

Thank you to Harlow College who were kindly able to produce PPE scrubs at short notice for our crew!

Earls Colne Cricketers

Earls Colne Cricket Club have managed to run and walk 1,200 kilometres during the lockdown to raise a brilliant £400 for Essex and Herts Air Ambulance. The group averaged 7 kilometers a day for 42 days, simulating a tour of the UK starting at their Earls Colne cricket ground.

Harry’s Mohawk Challenge

Harry raised a fantastic £220.00 (Target £200.00 on Just Giving) by completing a challenge of having his hair cut into a mohawk!

Harry said:

“I’ve had my hair cut into a mohawk! for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance because I would really like to help support this charity.

After seeing and reading about all the great fundraising stories I would really like to help raise money for the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance. They do an amazing job but rely on donations and I hope that by getting my Mohawk hairstyle and raising as much as I can this will help a really good cause.”

Donna Lee – A Virtual British Afternoon Tea

Donna, EHAAT’s very own Head of Retail hosted her own Virtual British Afternoon Tea at the end of May. Donna invited all her friends to join her via Zoom and donate an amount in exchange for the delivery of some delicious bakes, .

In total with GiftAid Donna managed to smash her fundraising target of £150, and go on to achieve a fantastic £412.25!
