Thank you to our supporters – January 2020
We hit a memorable milestone on the 1st of January by reaching a total of 25,000 missions since we began flying in 1998!
Gates Ford is a family-owned and operated company across Essex and Hertfordshire. This year Gates celebrates its 100th birthday, and to mark the occasion Gates is providing EHAAT with a Ford Mondeo throughout 2020. They have also supplied Essex Voluntary Blood Service with Ford Kuga, aiding our `blood on board’ initiative.
The Mondeo will enable staff to travel between the North Weald and Earls Colne airbases, fundraising offices, shops and events across Essex and Hertfordshire.
Aldwickbury Golf Club started 2020 off by celebrating a fantastic fundraising feat. Last year EHAAT was chosen by Lady Captain, Eleanor Brooks, Club Captain Mike Childs and Senior Captain John Harris to be the club’s Charity of the Year for 2019. Fundraising Administrator Jeannie was invited along to the club to receive a cheque for £20,103.45 A huge thanks to everyone at the club for their support over the last year. We really enjoyed working with you.
We ended 2019 with another memorable event. The Boxing Day Barrel Hunt held by The Five Bells in Colne Engaine proved to be another exciting day. With over 100 contestants taking part in the 17th year of the event. This year the hunt managed to raise just under £500, taking the all-time total to over £9,500!
The attendees were lucky to catch a glimpse of our MD 902 Explorer during a training flight. The helicopter made a fly-past, reminding everyone of what their fundraising supports.
Thank you to The Five Bells, Colne Engaine. We can’t fly without you!
EHAAT has been selected as one of Mountain Warehouse’s regional charity partners for 2020. Stores across Essex and Hertfordshire are offering customers the option to purchase reusable canvas bags, with 100% of the profits from the bags sold in five stores in our area being donated to EHAAT.
