Strictly Air Ambulance Fundraiser Returns March 2025

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) is delighted to be hosting its highly anticipated Strictly Air Ambulance fundraiser next month. Sponsored by Rig Equipment Limited and Anderson Development Group, the UK’s leading manufacturer and solutions provider for specialist emergency and defence professionals, this exciting event will take place on Saturday 15th of March 2025 at the Brentwood Centre in Essex, with the last remaining tickets available for purchase.

Now in its thirteenth year, the annual fundraiser promises to be an unforgettable evening of dazzling dance, glitz and entertainment where members of the local community, alongside EHAAT supporters and celebrity guests will come together to raise vital funds for the charity’s life-saving mission to bring advanced emergency medical care to patients across Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.

Hosting the event is EHAAT’s Celebrity Ambassador, Lisa Snowdon, and ITV presenter, David Whiteley, with the evening seeing eight amazing contestants from Essex and Hertfordshire light up the dancefloor, paired with their talented professional dance partners. Each couple will showcase their skills performing ballroom and Latin routines, all in pursuit of winning the coveted ‘Glitterball Trophy’.

Bringing their joint expertise and flair to accurately assess the contestants’ performances will be an expert judging panel featuring former Strictly Come Dancing stars Ian Waite and Erin Boag, together with renowned Latin dancer Ben Milan-Vega, and head judge Phil Meacham from Chelmsford Dance Centre.

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Ian Waite expresses his excitement to join the judging panel this year, saying “I’m absolutely delighted to be back judging and performing at this incredible event for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance. Having supported the event a few years ago, I know just how special and memorable the evening is – all in aid of an extraordinary and worthy charity. I can’t wait to see this year’s contestants and their partners light up the dancefloor. It’s set to be a fantastic night for all!”

Also a former Strictly Come Dancing professional, and Ian’s partner on the night, Erin Boag, commented “It’s a real privilege to be part of the Strictly Air Ambulance event, both as a judge and a performer with Ian. At the heart of this glamorous evening is a truly remarkable charity that provides an essential service, and I’m proud to support a cause that makes such a significant difference in people’s lives.”

The contestants have already started their fundraising efforts for EHAAT, raising thousands of pounds and demonstrating incredible commitment to supporting this vital cause.

In addition to the spectacular dance routines, the evening will feature exciting auctions and raffles sponsored by London Southend Airport, designed to raise additional funds to ensure EHAAT’s vital Air Ambulance service can continue providing lifesaving care when it is needed most. Guests can purchase individual tickets or opt for a VIP experience, which includes the best view in the house and a table with complimentary bubbles. For an extra £10, attendees can join the After-Show Party, sponsored by independent drinks distributor G+G Gallo Enterprises Ltd, to enjoy live music and dance the night away with a glass of bubbly in-hand.
