Statement: Bedford Train Crash

SHARE

On Friday 19 June, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, East Anglian Air Ambulance and Magpas Air Ambulance were dispatched by the East of England Ambulance Service Trust to the major incident in Bedfordshire.

Working alongside colleagues from London’s Air Ambulance, Midlands Air Ambulance, The Air Ambulance Service, BHECCS and other emergency service partners, our teams provided advanced critical care to those who were seriously injured. Our clinicians also supported EEAST in coordinating the medical response for the many patients involved at this complex scene, helping to deliver timely relief of pain, suffering, and onward care.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the families, friends and communities affected by this tragic incident.

As air ambulance charities, we are only able to respond to emergencies thanks to the generous support of our communities. On behalf of the patients and families whose lives are touched by our services, thank you.
