DonateFilm star and Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) charity ambassador Ray Winstone is once again set to manage a star-studded PL All-Stars XI in the 3rd Annual Charlie Dukes Fund Charity Football Match, taking place on Sunday 4th May at Bishop’s Stortford Football Club.
Ray Winstone, who has shown continued support for the event, recently encouraged fans on his Instagram account to come down and enjoy what he called a “blinding day” for all the family, adding:
“Right, football match of the year – All-Stars vs Hashtag United. One o’clock kick-off at Bishop’s Stortford stadium. It’s all in association with the Charlie Dukes Fund. Come along with your family… you’ll have a blinding day… I’ll see you there.”
Some big names are set to take to the pitch for the PL All-Stars XI, including former Premier League favourites Joe Cole and Yaya Toure, and Peter Crouch has been appointed as Ray’s assistant manager, as they go head-to-head with the popular Hashtag United XI.
The annual match is organised by the Charlie Dukes Fund, set up by Tottenham Hotspur kit man Steve Dukes in memory of his father, Charlie. The Charlie Dukes Fund has raised over £170,000 for local charities through football-themed events and auctions, including for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, who attended to Charlie following a cycling accident.
Steve Dukes said:
“This will be our third PL All-Stars match in support of incredible causes like Essex & Herts Air Ambulance. I’m proud of everything the Charlie Dukes Fund has achieved so far and can’t wait to welcome fans for another unforgettable day of football.”
This family-friendly event promises great football, entertainment, and fundraising for a fantastic cause. Don’t miss out!
