DonateEssex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) is delighted to announce that KGK Genix is sponsoring our Schools Programme, supporting our mission to educate and inspire children across Essex and Hertfordshire.
Each year, EHAAT’s community team visits more than 200 primary schools, providing a unique learning experience that brings to life the vital work of their local life-saving charity. The initiative helps teachers meet KS1 and KS2 curriculum objectives, while educating children about the emergency services and encouraging them to engage in creative fundraising projects.
Through interactive assemblies, our Schools Representatives deliver engaging sessions that help pupils understand what happens in a medical emergency, the importance of teamwork, and how EHAAT’s critical care teams help save lives every day. Each visit can be tailored to fit a school’s schedule, ensuring the session supports their learning goals.
Schools are also invited to visit our Visitor Centres at both North Weald and Earls Colne airbases, where students can enjoy an immersive 999 Experience. Children can sit in the pilot’s seat, try on a helmet, and test their knowledge through quizzes and interactive games while learning from our knowledgeable volunteer tour hosts.
Thanks to the generous support of KGK Genix, EHAAT can continue to expand this vital educational outreach, helping children understand the importance of pre-hospital emergency care — and perhaps inspiring future paramedics, pilots, or doctors.
“Our Schools Programme is an incredible way to connect with young people and help them learn about the role EHAAT plays in their community,” said Stacey Wilson, EHAAT Fundraising Manager. “We’re so grateful to KGK Genix for sponsoring this initiative and helping us reach even more schools across the region.”
If your school would like to book a visit or arrange a tour of our Visitor Centres, please email schools@ehaat.org or visit www.ehaat.org/schools.
