Jane Crush is flying high after winning £25,000 in the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) ‘Flight for Life’ Lottery.

Jane, who lives in Hatfield, is a long term supporter of the charity. She said,  “I was so shocked and thrilled to learn that I had won the £25,000 jackpot. It was a wonderful surprise.

“I am due to retire next year, and this win will allow me and my husband to make the most of being newly retired. We are already planning some great adventures, and we will also be spoiling our two children and three grandchildren.

“I have been supporting EHAAT for many years now and will continue to do so. I really admire the wonderful service the charity provides for people in their greatest need, and I wish them all the best.”

Carmel Hudson is Lottery Manager at EHAAT. She is thankful to everyone like Jane, who does their bit in supporting the vital services the charity provides.

She said: “This year we are celebrating 25 years of running our free life-saving emergency medical service, delivering advanced clinical care usually seen only in the hospital emergency department. However, with no National Lottery funding and with very limited government support,  we are very grateful to all our supporters whether they – like Jane – play our ‘Flight for Life’ lottery, donate, fundraise, or volunteer; the past 25 years is not our achievement, it is the achievement of the people of Essex, Hertfordshire and the surrounding communities.

A summer of celebrations are taking place to mark this milestone year for EHAAT, including a special 25th Anniversary Summer Raffle, where one lucky person could win £5,000. To take part visit https://ehaat.org/lottery-raffle/raffle, but be quick as the draw closes on the 21st September 2023.
