Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) is delighted to announce the continuation of its long‑standing partnership with Frank G Gates Ltd, which has generously supplied a new All‑Electric Ford Explorer. This marks the seventh consecutive year that Gates has supported EHAAT’s vital work.

The vehicle handover took place at EHAAT’s North Weald airbase, where representatives from Gates presented the keys to the charity’s team. The new Explorer, featuring EHAAT’s distinctive co-branding alongside Gates Ford, will support staff across a wide range of essential activities.

The All‑Electric Ford Explorer will play a key role in enabling EHAAT’s charity team to travel efficiently between airbases, fundraising offices, retail shops, and community events. Its zero‑emission capability also aligns with EHAAT’s commitment to reducing environmental impact and advancing its sustainability goals.

Deborah McLean, Fundraising & Marketing Director, said:

“We express our heartfelt thanks to Gates Ford for their incredibly generous support in providing a Ford Explorer for the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance charity team. This vehicle will play a vital role in helping us reach communities across Essex and Hertfordshire, engage with supporters, and continue raising the funds needed to keep our life‑saving service operational. We are truly grateful for Gates Ford’s commitment to our mission and proud to have them as valued partners.”

Ben Lucas, Operations Director at Gates of Harlow, added:

“We’ve proudly supported EHAAT for several years and recognise the vital role they play within the community. It’s an honour to provide their first fully electric vehicle with the All‑Electric Ford Explorer to help support their life‑saving work, and we’re pleased to continue being part of their journey.”

EHAAT receives no direct funding from the NHS and relies on the generosity of local communities and corporate partners like Gates to continue delivering advanced pre‑hospital emergency care across Essex, Hertfordshire, and beyond. The introduction of the All‑Electric Ford Explorer strengthens the charity’s operational efficiency while supporting its efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance extends its sincere thanks to Gates Ford for their continued generosity and unwavering commitment to supporting the charity’s life‑saving mission.
