A milestone year for local life-saving charity, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) and it’s CEO, Jane Gurney, has culminated in her becoming a finalist in the Business Person of the Year category at the Essex Countywide Business Awards.

It is the icing on the cake in a year of celebrations, not only marking 25 years of EHAAT saving lives, but also Jane’s 20 years of loyal service with the charity.

The awards have been established for 27 years and are a local platform for celebrating the very best business successes in the area. There were 13 awards presented at The ‘black tie’ gala dinner which took place at Braxted Park in Witham on Friday 27th October; all which recognised the efforts of local companies and individuals, who have one thing in common, a dedication to achieving excellence.

Jane was shortlisted as a finalist in the category alongside Michelle Morris from accountancy firm, Ellacott Morris, and Marcus Evans from IT services provider, Nutbourne, with Michelle picking up the award on the night.

Jane was humbled to reach the final stages and said, “It was an honour to have been shortlisted for the Essex Countywide Business Person of the Year Award, along with such inspirational nominees. I would like to personally congratulate Michelle for winning this prestigious accolade”.
