Air Ambulance celebrates successful National Air Ambulance Week
Supporters of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) helped the Charity collect a record total of over £25,000 for National Air Ambulance Week (NAAW).
In September, particularly during NAAW which ran from September 10th to 16th, businesses, groups and individuals across Essex and Hertfordshire assisted with raising awareness, collecting donations and organising fundraising events for the life-saving Charity.
NAAW is a national initiative in which Air Ambulance charities across the United Kingdom collaborate to publicise their work. During September EHAAT’s `Collection Crew’ collected at supermarkets, shopping centres, garden centres and sports venues.
Sabi Stafford, Essex Fundraising Manager said,
It’s been great to see so many individuals, groups and businesses volunteer their time to help us at these collections and help promote the work of the Charity in their local community.
National Air Ambulance Week is a great opportunity for us to talk to people in the community about the fact that we are a Charity which receives only limited support from Government. The support we receive from communities across Essex and Hertfordshire is vital.”
