Aeromedical Conference 2023
Thank you to everyone who attended the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) Aeromedical Conference. With over 400 delegates present, the event provided an invaluable platform for emergency service professionals to come together and share knowledge in the pre-hospital care environment.

The theme of ‘Extrication’ highlighted the collaborative efforts involved in rescuing and extracting patients trapped in road traffic collisions while also focusing on new scientific and medicine-based evidence that is challenging current guidance and offering alternative practice to both clinicians and rescuers.
EHAAT Aeromedical Conference 2023 puts extrication centre stage
With over 400 delegates attending, the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) annual Aeromedical Conference has again provided a unique platform for all those working in emergency services, to come together, share knowledge, and work towards enhancing best practice in the pre-hospital care environment.
Taking place at Ford Dunton Technical Centre in Laindon, Essex, and sponsored by Ford, Leonardo Helicopters and Philips, this year’s conference was themed ‘Extrication,’ and focused on the collaborative efforts of multiple agencies to rescue and extract patients trapped in vehicles involved in road traffic collisions. Chaired by EHAAT trustee Dr Ramzi Freij, the free-to-attend event featured fascinating presentations and case studies, shedding light on the latest advancements and challenges in extrication techniques.
