Choose a colour  raise funds   save lives

This year, we are asking our valued supporters to come together during the 9th-15th September to raise the profile of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance by participating in our Go Red Go Yellow campaign.

Looking for some inspiration to get your fundraising off to a flying start? Check out just a few colourful ideas to help you Go Red or Go Yellow!

A colourful feast...

How about a coffee morning complete with lemon drizzle, red velvet, jam roly-poly and custard? Or, for the more savoury treat, perhaps a cheese and wine evening with Red Leicester and Camembert washed down with Merlot or Sauvignon Blanc.

Alternatively you could host a dinner party where guests bring colourful dishes such as a korma or a red Thai red curry.

Fashion Show

If you’re a follower of fashion, you could involve your local college or school with a fashion show where students can design, make and model the clothes whilst following the theme.

Hold an event

Whether it’s a duck race to a car show, a flower demonstration, barn dance or quiz night, any event can stand out if you add some colour. Include red and yellow bunting, balloons and props and show your support for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.

Host a Competition

It could be red shirts versus yellow in a team sport competition, or a red and yellow Zumbathon at your local gym. Perhaps you could organise a colour run or obstacle race with colourful powders to raise funds, but be prepared to get messy…

Fancy dress

Dress head to toe in red or yellow for a school or office dress-down day or throw a fancy dress party with The Simpsons, Red Riding Hood, sunflowers and tomatoes galore. The world is your ‘lobster’ when thinking of red or yellow costumes!

Extreme Challenges

You could even take on a skydive and dress head to toe in a colour (maybe even a banana costume if you choose yellow 👀) and tick one off your bucket list as well as raising those all-important life-saving funds.

What is
Air Ambulance Week?

Air Ambulance Week 2024 takes place 9th–15th September and is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the vital life-saving work of air ambulance charities and is organised by Air Ambulances UK. The theme for AAW24 is ‘Today’s Supporter, Tomorrow’s Lifesaver’ in recognition of our amazing supporters whose generosity enables us to continue to deliver advanced pre-hospital care 24/7.

AAW works to highlight that anyone, anywhere could become a patient at any time. Air ambulance charities collectively make over 37,000 lifesaving missions each year. There are 21 air ambulance charities, including Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, providing pre-hospital critical care across the UK.

We can’t save lives without you

Air Ambulance Week 2023 in partnership with Air Ambulances UK

Air Ambulance Week is an important reminder of the vital work done by air ambulance charities across the UK. Each day, air ambulance charities are collectively dispatched to over 100 lifesaving missions and each mission is funded almost entirely by the generosity of our local communities. Without the support of people like you, air ambulance charities would not be able to continue to deliver advanced pre-hospital care to people with a sudden life-threatening injury or medical illness.
